Kimbriki accepts household batteries and mobile phones for recycling

1st July, 2020 Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre has implemented a free mobile phone and battery recycling program (such as AA, AAA, C, D, 6V, 9V and button batteries). This is a free service.

Household quantities only – up to a 2 litre container of batteries and 10 mobile phones per drop off.
Mobile phone must be separated from battery and charger and placed in relevant recycling bucket.

Batteries should never be put in the recycling bin or in your waste bin. Rechargeable batteries and lithium ion batteries are hazardous and could produce sparks that may start a fire in the trucks or recycling facility. This includes batteries in laptops, mobile phones, power tools and cameras.
